Aimirgin Glúngheal, the chief poet and lawgiver of the Milesians who first set foot on Ireland; sang the famous 'Song of Aimirgin' upon arrival, claiming kinship with all of Ireland's elements.
The story behind Aimirgin
As the Milesians landed at Inber Scéne, Aimirgin set foot on Irish soil and chanted a poem identifying himself with all of nature ('I am the wind on the sea, I am the wave of the ocean'), winning Ireland for his people through verse.
